What I think to be a perfect lidded jar

$200.00

This piece is very special to me. I threw it on the wheel out of porcelain, trimmed and then spent so much time on the surface. I scratched the surface, added underglaze, carved into the surface many different times and once I was happy with it I glazed it in a Shino glaze. In some areas I thickened the glaze to make it more opaque and let it go thin in other areas to show its translucency. It was then fired in a gas reduction kiln.  There is some good carbon trapping too which adds to the texture of the piece!
